Every two years, our school district administers the California Healthy Kids Survey to students in grades 5, 7, 9, and 11.  This survey gathers local data about risk behavior such as alcohol and tobacco use as well as drug abuse.  The survey also gathers data regarding attributes known to deter risk behavior such as “feeling a connection to one’s school.”  The results of this survey help our district to evaluate the impact of our district-wide prevention and character education plan, “The Power of One – to Impact All.”  The survey was administered most recently in December 2010.  The results of that December 2010 administration are posted are below:
