Technology & Staff Development Center California Native Garden Lepechinia hastata, Pitcher Sage Large mint family shrub with aromatic arrow shaped leaves and large open spikes of reddish-purple flowers. The fragrant gray leaves and beautiful sage-like flowers are a great reason to be gorwing this shrub. The Pitcher Sage is almost always in bloom.
