Areas of
Responsibilities
Categorical
Programs in the Oakdale Joint Unified School District consists of
English Learner Programs, Gifted and Talented Education, Character
Education and Prevention Programs, Title I, and Migrant Education.
These special programs receive state and federal funds specifically
intended to support these “categories” of programs. The Coordinator
of Categorical Programs works with Advisory Councils in each area to
conduct needs analyses, develop action plans to address those needs,
and then oversee the implementation of those action plans.
