8 months down and 2 to go!!!  Your almost there.  Summer is right around the corner.

Parents, have you planned anything for summer time?  The Oakdale Joint Unified School District is offering its second  annual      summer camp.  The Oakdale Super Summer Camp will run from June 4th—August 3rd.  A nine week summer camp that will ensure your child of having a great time all summer long.  Each week, the  summer camp will have a new theme.  Everyday, students will get the chance to learn about different sports, fun and exciting arts and crafts and all different types of fun activities.  Every Wednesday     students will get to attend a field trip,  depending on what the theme

of that week is. Some Field Trips we will be attending this year  include:  Oakland Zoo, Moaning Caverns, Funworks, San Jose Tech Museum,  Challenger Learning Center, McHenry Bowl etc..

Thursday and Friday, students will have the opportunity  to walk to the public pool, swim with their friends and play in the park. 

Some of the activities that your child will do this summer include: pottery, cooking, computer classes, a huge variety of arts and crafts, the ability to learn the rules and  participate in sports such as          flag football, baseball, soccer, ultimate frisbee and  basketball.

Parents, do not forget that the last day of ASES classes are Thursday April 5th, 2012.

There will be NO ASES CLASSES running after this date and your child’s       attendance is not mandatory.

Permission Slips go home on April 16th and MUST be returned by April 27th.  NO      EXCEPTIONS.

May 10th

3rd and 4th Grade students in the after school program will attend the California Academy of Sciences.  This is a Minimum

May 2nd 

5th and 6th Grade students will attend the San Francisco Zoo in the After School Program.  This is a minimum day and an all day field trip.  Please remember to bring a sack lunch, lunch will not be provided.  Students will get on the bus by 7:30am and will arrive back on campus by 5:30pm. 

Day and an all day field trip as well.   Students will get on the bus by 8:00am and arrive back on campus by 5:30pm.    Permission slips will be sent home on May 4th and MUST be returned by May 11th.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
