All students taking medication at school must have a physician’s authorization form on file, including parent’s authorization. Medication must be in the original container. If it is a prescription medicine the pharmacy label must be attached. Medication must be kept in the Nurse’s office and dispensed by the Nurse unless otherwise authorized by the doctor. If a student is too ill to remain in class he/she must report to the Nurse’s office or the Vice Principal’s office. A student should not stay out of class because or illness, or leave campus without first reporting to the Vice Principal’s office. When students are ill, parents will be notified and arrangements will be made for the student to go home to an adult supervised care.
