Truancy, periods 1-6
If a student is truant for a full day, they will receive a one day in-house suspension.
If truancy continues to occur, student and parents will be subpoenaed by the juvenile court to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s department to attend a School Attendance Review Board (SARB) hearing. The student will receive a more strict behavior plan which may include mandatory evening classes, counseling and Saturday work assignments or arrest and assignment to juvenile hall detention.
