CJSF

The California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF) is a state-wide organization honoring academic excellence.  Students who qualify sign up each semester and have the opportunity to attend a field trip a semester.  In addition, students who sign up for CJSF at least two of the three semester they are eligible (7th graders are not eligible in their fall semester because they have yet to earn a junior high report card), will graduate with CJSF honors, receiving a special certificate and pin.  For more information, please contact Ms. Wegener at gwegener@oakdale.k12.ca.us

Colorguard

Looking for something new and fun to do after school? An activity that is competitive and exciting to do?  Introducing the sport of the arts: Colorguard!  It is the mission of the Oakdale Junior High Colorguard Program to provide our units with an educationally sound and competitive environment.  It is our goal to provide opportunities for all interested parties to learn from each other as well as compete against each other in friendly and fair venues.  It is our pledge to nurture, educate, encourage, and prepare our units for competition and life.

Every student joining the program assumes the responsibility of upholding and improving upon the high standards and goals that we have set for ourselves

There are three overall goals for the season:

Develop and enhance pride and self-discipline.

Develop and enhance student enjoyment and understanding of music and performance.

Develop and enhance performance skills on flag, rifles, as well as dance.
